The digital skills training enables migrant and refugee women to re-skill or upskill in the digital sector.

A major part of the project is dedicated to preparing migrant women for the labour market and raising awareness of their rights in the host society through mentorship and coaching.

The digital skills training held in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Prague (Czech Republic), Berlin (Germany), Athens (Greece), Turin (Italy) and Sofia (Bulgaria).

Ten migrant women per country benefited from training delivered by Cisco Academy and The Code to Change. The training is delivered:

  • online and in-person training based on the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum and on the Bootcamps created by The Code to Change
  • online and in-person group training on social and labour market integration and women’s rights

Regarding social inclusion, group workshops have been offered to raise awareness of the rights of migrant women:

  • access to education
  • access to justice
  • access to work
  • protection from gender-based violence against women and other kinds of discrimination

The mentorship and coaching training has prepared migrant women for social inclusion in the host country and labour market.
